UGA Clark Howell Hall Renovation
Clark Howell Hall, originally a residence hall, was constructed in 1937. WBA performed an analysis and feasibility study for renovation to a portion of the Career Center in Clark Howell Hall. From this study, a decision was made to renovate the entire 33,000 SF building. WBA helped the University modernize this facility, creating a dynamic space for the faculty, staff and students. The Career Center, University Testing Services, and the Disability Resource Center are all a part of the services offered in this building. Renovations included abatement, ADA and code updates, refinishing the exterior historic steel windows and providing interior storm windows, addition of a fire sprinkler system, a new HVAC system, new interior finishes and elevator cab finish upgrade, renovation of the Prometric Testing Center, and enhanced technology. The building improvements provide a more accessible and welcoming environment for approximately 27,500 people who use these services each year.
