One Sugarloaf Center

Duluth, Georgia

The owners of One Sugarloaf Centre saw an existing need for a speculative office space in the rapidly-growing Atlanta suburb of Duluth. Knowing that LEED certified space would increase the marketability of a new Class A office building and attract unique and socially conscious tenants, the client set a goal of achieving LEED Gold certification: a first for Gwinnett County. Wakefield Beasley crafted multiple design options early in the process to help the owner identify the appropriate aesthetics it wanted for its energy-efficient space. By expediting the design process at the early stages, Wakefield Beasley was able to ultimately create a unique building with a floor plate of approximately 28,000 square foot and incorporate appropriate sustainable elements to achieve the LEED Gold certification.
