Date: July 2, 2015
In China, WBA is known as RWB. This is a translation from the original article located here: http://goo.gl/js5OVx
Governor Ma Changqing, and officials from the New District Party committee of Gui’an, honored Russell Wakefield Beasley’s (RWB’s) Bill Russell and WBA Principal and Director of the Retail/Mixed Use Studio Mike Lentz by welcoming them to the New District last week. At the meeting Governor Ma Changqing pointed out that Gui’an, as one of China’s 12 national districts, had strong support of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council because of the recent visit of the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President and Central Military Commission Chairman Xi Jinping who inspected the area.
The New District is growing rapidly due to its location, cultural and ecological environment, and features such as the landscape, rivers, lakes and cool fresh air. Due to this rapid growth the New District is in need of architects, urban planners, engineers, and contractors and hopes to grow relationships with international A/E/C companies in order to achieve planning goals for the district. Government officials hope to create relationships and strategic partnerships to promote the development of the New District and to achieve a mutually beneficial situation.
RWB is currently finishing their first project (which is the landscape and hardscape design for the project’s Sales Center), and is on the list to provide additional landscape and architectural design services as the New District grows.
