Project Snapshot: Hangar Building at Homestead ARB

Wakefield Beasley & Associates has teamed with Weston Solutions and GTP Consulting Engineers to provide design/build services for the renovations of portions of the Hangar Building at Homestead ARB. The facility services F-16 fighter aircraft. The WBA members of the team provided architectural, interior design, SID and FFE specifications for the project.
The project included the renovation and addition of finished spaces to the office area of the hangar on both the ground and mezzanine levels. The scope of work included modifications to the existing Tool Room, Break Room, Communications Room, and addition of locker rooms and showers along with full build-out of an unfinished space on the mezzanine level to provide new administration area for up to 60 personnel.
The scope of work comprised approximately 16,000 square feet. These modifications included new structural elements as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing to meet the needs of the base personnel.
